It’s frustrating to watch your kids suffer after every meal, strain and cry trying to poop, and complain every day about nausea, cramps, and pain. The worst part is feeling hopeless after trying everything from harsh laxatives & ineffective probiotics to crazy diet changes.
That’s why we tried dozens of probiotics & gut health supplements designed for kids, to find 5 that actually create happy little tummies without terrible side effects.
RMDY Kids is at the top of our list because it’s more than just a probiotic. It’s an all-in-one gut health supplement designed specifically for kids.
The combination of science-backed probiotics & prebiotics addresses the root source of your kid’s constipation, diarrhea, mealtime discomfort, gas, and bloating. Plus, the chewable tablets taste great, so you never have to have to fight with your child about taking them.
But there was something else about RMDY that impressed us. If your kid is anything like mine, they constantly beg for Kraft Mac & Cheese. Now, they can eat it without suffering from tummy aches and painful poops. That’s because RMDY contains powerful digestive enzymes that help your kids easily digest dairy & fiber.
Even better, since these enzymes break down food, RMDY can improve nutrition for healthier kids and happier parents!
Really, the only downside we’ve noticed is that they regularly sell out because it’s the only 4-in-1 product on the market designed for kids.
You can get RMDY here risk-free. If it doesn’t work for your little one in 60 days, they’ll refund every penny. You can buy RMDY for Kids here.
2. First Day Kids’ Belly-Biotic
First Day Kid’s Belly-Biotic is an excellent product designed for kids ages 4+ that is made in the USA with high-quality ingredients.
Plus, we love that it doesn’t just contain probiotics, but also prebiotics and postbiotics that improve the effectiveness for kids with stomach struggles. We just wish it also had digestive enzymes.
The downside is that this is by far the most expensive option on our list, costing $49 plus $5 shipping for only a month-long supply.
Unlike some probiotics, Cultarelle Kids uses the Lactobacillus rhamnosus strain that’s clinically proven to support healthy digestion & gut well-being.
Plus, kids love the taste so they won’t run away as soon as you reach for the bottle. It’s also gluten-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free.
While it contains a good dose of the single probiotic, it doesn’t contain any other active ingredients. Because of that, it might not work for every kid, especially those with long-term gut issues.
Hiya Kids Daily Probiotic might have the best packaging design with cases that your kids can cover with the included stickers and take to school, in the car, or anywhere else.
It also contains 3 probiotics for well-rounded support as well as Larch Tree Fiber which acts as a prebiotic that feeds the healthy bacteria.
While it works really well, the potent 10 Billion CFU can be too much for kids, causing nausea, gas, & bloating. We also didn’t like that you have to start a monthly subscription to get your first bottle.
That’s why it’s 4th on our list, but still a great option compared to most. Get Hiya Kids here.
5. SmartyPants
This blend of prebiotics and probiotics doesn’t just taste fantastic with Strawberry Creme flavoring. It also works really well considering the lower price tag.
However, there’s one big downside: it contains too much added sugar. While all the other options on our list are zero-sugar, this one contains 3 grams of added sugar. Considering kids should have less than 25 grams per day, that’s a lot for a daily probiotic.
Still, it’s a cost-effective choice if you’re not worried about sugar. You can get SmartPants Kids here.
